Resin Infused Body Panels

Today we practised the infusion for the body panels! Unfortunately we had some problems with the mould we had to use but not to be demotivated, we instead used a dog bowl to at least practise the techniques and process needed! You can see a video of it in action below:

Shell Eco-Marathon 2012


A bit of a background on the competition for those of you who are new to it!:
Streets ahead: students across Europe compete for fuel efficiency on brand new street circuit 26/01/2012 

Shell Eco-marathon Europe takes centre stage on street circuit in Rotterdam, the Netherlands 

Imagine designing and building a car to go as far as possible on the least amount of fuel. Sound challenging? More than 3,000 students from across Europe are preparing to do exactly that, putting their driving skills and scientific knowledge to the test on a brand new street circuit designed for the 2012 Shell Eco-marathon.
